Recently, the translation has become absolutely horrid, with many typos, blatant inaccuracies, and seemingly malicious changes to already fine lines. That combined with the recent changing of the app title and descriptions is an incredible display of incompetence from everyone involved. I do not see much reason to continue reading the game on English if they continue this. If you only speak English, you will not receive a well translated, good story.

The pros are the graphics, the characters, and their designs, as well as their 3d models and the gameplay. The cons: about the story/student bond stories inaccurate translations that hinder my enjoyment of them, which drags my score so low. Once the translations are fixed and faithful, I will rate it a 5 because it is a really good game. (I edited my review because I believe I was being way too harsh and was not giving a fair review.)

Characters, art, music, & most story chapters are at least entertaining and, at time flat out amazing. The gameplay can offer some challenge on higher raids and the developers offer a good amount of gacha currency. The biggest issue is the translation. Whether it be typos or mistranslations, it needs work. There are times when nuance is lost, implied relationships are altered, or terminology is changed thus changing narrative elements. They really need to do better about how localization is

I love Blue Archive for its charming characters and emotional story. Normally this game would be deserving of a 4 or even 5 star rating, but unfortunately the english translation is riddled with so many errors and mischaracterizations that it's bordering on malice. When 90% of the appeal is the writing there's simply no excuse for people who dislike the game's content to be working on it.

The pointless changes continue to get worse in just one episode of the event there were 38 mistranslated lines all of which lost their original intent. As of this event I will only use youtube fan translations. If you actually cared about the players you would fix this issue. But it has been well over three months and it's clear the EN branch is either malicious or incompetent.

I love the story & characters, even though keeping track of all the factions & organizations can be hard. Combat is another story, though. Having auto mode for special attacks is nice and usually you can sweep areas once you have gotten a max rating. But combat itself is so inconsistent; you can't trust the recommended level that the game gives; usually levels are either way harder or way easier than the game says. And getting stronger is slow so you just end up stuck for a long time.

gameplay is more visual novel with some combat elements, but fairly engaging as of the moment. one major issue I have though is upon switching apps, even by accident, or through one of the links in game, the game almost always resets to the title screen. this is doublely frustrating when on a weak network or having battery saver mode kick on/off, as these can also cause a reset. each time this occurs, the game has to reinitialize. makes for fairly seamless play in game, until these things occur

Blue archive is by far my favorite gatcha, my second favorite property, and even has quite a few of my all-time favorite characters. Unfortunately its english translation falls in line with the prominent trend of entirely rewriting lines, and completely changing entire segments of its stories both small and large. It's a downright tragedy when stories are butcher, especially whenever they're as well written and engaging as Blue Archive is when properly translated. Haruka supremacy.
