I don't like the way gyms or battles work at all, let me start there. If you get a hold of a gym early on, then nobody can do much to challenge you. It seems really unfair and broken. I also get bugged out by how I sometimes can't even challenge them. The opponent gets down to 1 HP then becomes invincible. Finally, the battle system is really basic. There's no strategy to it at all. I love the discovery mechanic, but I do wish encounters were a bit more common.

It's a potentially great game that's been made unplayable due to poor optimization, bugs, crashes, and absolutely scummy "free to play" monetization. I have tried to enjoy the game despite this, but recent updates make the game crash on startup. Not surprised, just disappointed. What a waste of time and money. Don't waste your time. P.S. Looks ugly as hell, and sounds worse: mute ON

I'm fed up with the amount of times I get disconnected during League battles. I've played GO since release and never encountered as many issues as I do recently. Outside of that, League is noticeably hostile, intentionally setting players with higher ranked opponents while using a . Edit: Now the player models updated, and they're UGLY! Waistlines were eliminated so characters are built like rectangles.

It basically comes down to the optimization in this game is God awful. Some of the worst I've ever seen. It is a fun game and they update it a lot recently which is great for content and new stuff to go out and do. The unfortunate fact is that the game crashes so often that it is frustrating to do anything, the pvp portion of the game is lagging and crashes even more than the actual game so if you play pvp prepare to constantly crash as you are about to win. So as it is don't play it until fixed

I've played this game for many years now on and off, but the insane difficulty spike in Max Battles going from one-star to three-star makes anything that isn't a one-star battle practically undoable for the vast majority of the playerbase, which is forced to solo these battles since there's barely any community anymore in most areas. The rest of the game's tolerable, but Niantic really is stuck back in 2016 with all the new stuff they've thrown out. Do better.

Battles are definitely broken. I can't report an opponent when they clearly have advantages of being able to change Pokémon more often than me, or the fact that I've had the same mission hunting a Team Rocket Leader over two years now. The catching of Pokémon and filling the Pokédex is what makes the game worth it because the battle system is highly broken and so is the research/quests

As immersive as you allow it to be. The framework of the game is very outdated, but it gets the job done. Still a lot to be desired (better achievement system would be a great start), but I'm afraid a new game would have to be created to get a much better experience. Addictive, gets you out, gets you walking/running, and there are people playing it almost everywhere if you want to socialize. Amazing game.

Been an avid player on/off since the beginning. Loved the game. Just deleted it because it refuses to function properly. Crashes and closes out regularly every time I try to play. Deleted dozens of other games, freed up space on my phone, recently updated then uninstalled and reinstalled Pokemon Go. Continues to be an issue, crashing constantly. I will not be reinstalling. Had fun while it lasted.
