This app is great FOR the many DISHONEST PLAYERS who have hundreds of nicknames they use for cheating and they don't pay for hip, fooms, anything! They throw games to boost their friends ratings. Then, they all change nicks and their friends throw games to reciprocate. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD MORE WINS THAN LOSSES; yet, I have been attacked repeatedly by CHEATING PARTNERS until my rating is so low that I'm blocked from ing most games above 1400s. Also, I purchased fooms 2x and nada. BEWARE

I started with Hardwood Spades on laptop...absolutely love it! I also have it on my mobile. ***I wish Hardwood would offer Gin Rummy!!! That would be amazing! PS: if you don't want ads buy the game. Best spades game online and fun!

Un-challenging, frustrating. Still looking for a game of spades that is close to realistic. This is not bad, but it is not good. Winning nil bid is easy; I did three consecutively in one game. The opponents will almost always take a fairly high card and help out. Another irritation is that the player to your left always has the ace for any time you play a king. Worst is how often another player can trump early in the hand, even in a suit in which you are short. How many cards do the others have?

I like the game, except for 1 thing. Single player w/ bots. My partner will cause me to fail a nil bid, when he had a card that would have saved it. & he will take 2 many books, causing us to sandbag. Whats the point of having a sandbag penalty if the bots dont know how to keep from getting one? & if your partner is going to screw up ur nil bid when he didnt have to...just sayin. You should be able to actually play singles, instead of partners then. I dont play online. 2 many obnox players.

Glitches seem to have been fixed 👍 Don't like having to pay a subscription for just a card game but free play can still be enjoyable. They should bring back the lifetime hip option, at least temporarily, in order to build up their regular s again. Cheaters are annoying as with any game. Algorithm/RNG seems ok but at times appears to use a handicap. Ads have become less intrusive.

Been playing this game 4 many yrs & am looking for another spades game. Can't seem to stop my computer "partner" from bidding 2 & making 5,6,7& 8 books. I purposely cut "partner" to stop it from making extra books but it's impossible. Or it makes its books & continues 2 grab books. Or it will let opponent make their books, then picks up all the excess. Or it will make its books & still hold on to its high cards. Or it has 10 thru ace of spades but only bid 1 or 2. WTH! Am I missing something?

Best spades app, but you will need to play through the less-than casual crowd at first. A lot of partner abandonment and not understanding how to play nil at first.
