The Viking cruises are absolutely incredible. I can't recommend those highly enough. However, I have to give four stars because the app is not actually that useful, in my opinion. The UI is pretty confusing and there were menu options like 'Viking Daily' or the questionnaires that I felt needed more consistent updates, or refinement. Sometimes I would get app notifications for questionnaires that then said they didn't exist when I clicked on them. Could be improved upon.

Not the best. Used this on a river cruise. This app is missing a lot of functionality you find on major ocean cruise ship lines. For example, you cannot see your folio on the app. iPhone s were able to see the dailies, but Android s were not. Had to take a photo of the paper daily in our room to know what was going on. Lots of room for improvement. For some reason, people are giving reviews here of their experience on the ship instead of the app. Go figure.

Doesn't work. I am on the ship and connected to the ship's WiFi, but I can't get past the screen telling me to connect. I can get past that screen by disconnecting from WiFi, shutting down the app, and restarting. Then, connect to WiFi when told to do so. The next screen asks for my stateroom number, but before I can enter it, it jumps back to the opening screen.

This app is flakey at best. If you are ever able to connect, don't sign out regardless of the frequent error messages about not being connected. You will never be able to sign back in. I'm on the third day of not being able to sign back in despite being on the ship and only connected to the ship WiFi. I can do everything else on my phone, so the WiFi is working, but the app doesn't know it.

It's nice that that the app lists all of the personal information and data it collects, but it would be infinitely more valuable if Viking could also list *why* it needs the information it collects. When I first opened the app it asked if I would grant permission to look at photos, videos, phone information, and data. I don't grant permissions until I understand their purpose. Viking, please add the reasons behind the permission requests and I'll increase my rating. Thanks!

It doesn't appear to be good for anything. I told it I already had a cruise booked and then it said I couldn't do anything until I was on the ship and connected to its WiFi. I thought a big point of this app was to allow less and more efficient check in. Wouldn't that have to happen *before* I get on the ship? And terminating the app normally doesn't work. The 7/30/'21 update is still junk.

I ed this app in prep. of a Viking ocean cruise. When on the cruise I opened it, but found it to be useless. It did list the excursions I signed up for and it did have a calendar but the functionality was not there. The calendar was a list of events with the time of day but no day info. You can't modify the calendar. Other parts of the app directed you out of the app for info. I found I didn't use it although it does have great potential if redesigned.

Pretty good. The previous rating was in 2019. I gave it a 3. It's 2021, and this app is indispensable. It works really well, no glitches, nothing I don't need, and everything I do need. This year it's 5 stars. It's now 2022. Still 5 stars. 2022: The only constant is change. Currently on Viking Neptune, and the app is frustrating. It doesn't know that it's connected to the internet. It doesn't load the Viking daily about half the time, and I can scroll down but not up.
