gStrings is a chromatic tuner application measuring sound pitch and intensity.

It will let you tune any musical instrument (violin, viola, violoncello, bass, guitar, piano, wind instruments, your own voice/singing).

Was a good app in past but now there seems to be a bug. I gave it microphone permission but it's still stuck in the "this app needs microphone permission to work Yadda yadda" screen. Reinstalling didn't fix the issue. The free version worked. I also don't get why it makes me want to a second identical app from the store after purchasing the ad-free version, just for that to be not usable. It would be better if there was a option to upgrade the ap I currently have already ed.

Great tuner. Would be great if the dev would stop being a con artist though. I've paid for this 3 times now. It's clever, copy and pasting and renaming the app and then deleting the old version so that everyone starts clean on purchase history, every once in a while. Getting old bro. Last time I'm buying. The lazy developer welfare is running low.

Good reliable app. I don't use it a huge amount, as I tend to use an instrument mounted vibration sensing tuner, but this is very handy if I've not got that to hand. It's limited in noisy environments, but that's true of all mic based tuners. Seems accurate, and the frequency readout is useful from time to time.

Good, reliable app. I would ask that the format be changed slightly to make it more intuitive/qyicjer to use e.g. when selecting the standard guitar tuning option, rather than having to scroll through all the notes between one string and the next, simply being able to select EADGBE, one after the other.

Had to repurchase after getting an error on the app and 'losing' access to my paid app in he process it would seem. After looking through the reviews recently, seems I'm not the one. Take your £5 - I hope whatever you use it for serves you well ya cretins. Im back only after 5 minutes to report that I cannot use the app as apparently it requires mic access. Now I'm not silly enough to know that's an obvious request, the issue is that mic permissions are set to ALLOWED. I'll take that £5 back.

Hi the staf @ Tuner-gString!!!!! You app is the perfect tool for me,I am an old guitarist at 65,I took again my guitar from the wall and start to play (seriousely?)since 3-4 years..I like the clarity and precision of the needle,simple system but so efficient!!! Now I use this app since few month,less than a year,but before this one other apps never satisfied me more than a week! So well done,the team,and don't change anything ,ok? Bye now!.✌️😉👍

Great app. Used it for years. Easy to read, allows different temperaments, standard note frequencies/orchestra tunimng, has built-in for many instruments, as well. Everything you'd want from a guitar tuner, without being specifics to the guitar

Simple in design but detailed in how it works. I'm very happy to have purchased this tuner app. It's also helpful when warming up the voice to make sure you're hitting the right notes. It's a great app and my favorite tuner I've used so far.
